3rd Contemporary Australian Fiction Festival
3rd Contemporary Fiction Festival is held on 5th April 2009, at the NSW Writers Centre. It is a creative partnership with the UTS Centre for New Writing. It was opened by The Hon Virginia Judge, Minister Assisting the Premier for the Arts (pictured second) and featured UTS Writers and students including the CAL Writer in Residence Frank Moorhouse.
2nd Contemporary Australian Fiction Festival
The Minister of the Environment, Heritage and the Arts, Peter Garrett, opened the second Contemporary Australian Fiction Festival on Sat Mar 29. Hosted by the UTS Centre of New Writing at the NSW Writers Centre in Rozelle the event attracted 200 people including 40 writers, poets, playwrights and critics.
Peter Garrett praised the healthy state of Australian fiction writing and announced the judges for the Prime Minister's two new Literary Awards worth $100,000 each.
Creativity and Uncertainty
Helen Garner announced as the Keynote Speaker for the Creativity and Uncertainty conference.
